Final of 4 bottles. Last consumed a bottle about 3 yrs ago. Black cherry, black currant, loamy soil, dark chocolate and espresso grounds. The tannins are still grippy on the 2nd day, with adequate acidity to keep the full-bodied wine from being too generous or fluffy. The finish is nice, not overly long but interesting and with good complexity. Drying and meaty on the finish. Drink through 2025+. Delicious.

No flaws to this wine and my experience tasting it last night was markedly different than 4 months prior, when I enjoyed it. On this occassion, the wine struck me as unpleasantly dense and heavy. My pairing with pizza was admittedly not ideal, but when I wanted freshness, I looked to the wrong place.

Bottle #3 of 4. A beautiful Washington State Cab, and what a wonderful QPR at $40 USD. Black currant, mocha, wet firewood, black cherry, and a hint of smoke. On the palate, chewy, ripe tannins, with moderate acidity and a long and black-fruited finish. Delicious, drink now through 2024+.

While this wine m la cans elegance and finesse it is still in fine form at 12 years and offers body dark fruit and density. Nice drinking for a few years to come

Better than the first bottle I tried, although it’s on the downslope now.
