  • Distinctly ill at ease immediately after opening. Much improved on day two, even if there remains a slightly worrying bitterness on the finish. Lovely typicity and balance, good peachy fruit, perfectly fresh, relatively light structure but the balance is impeccable. A wine of considerable finesse in the typically restrained JJ style, but without the ultimate cut and precision of the very best. Will age effortlessly; drink now - 2032.

  • Light golden color. Honey, pear, and apple aromas on the nose with just a faint hint of petrol in the background. Similar flavors on the palate with a rich textured mouthfeel. Not overly sweet on the palate but also not as much acid as I would like. Certainly enjoyable and paired well with spicy thai food but not a lot of oomph in this wine given the pedigree of the producer. Drink up if you have any.

  • Looking forward to a nice glass after tonights performance, but this was unfortunately not up to standard.
The cork was a bit lose, and a lot of green gravely things under the capsule.

Light, nearly not any sweetness, and a aftertaste of old things no longer holding together. After an hour starting to smell bad and clearly oxidized and gone gone gone... sad, my only bottle of this wine.

  • Clear, light golden. Sweet honeyed pear, light apricot nose. Rich, slightly sweet, pears, sweet rich finish.
Great fruit, slightly sweet and heavy fruit dominated.

  • Intense sweetness was balanced with some good acidity and freshness. However, the wine lacked the nuance and subtlety to command it's $40 price tag.
