  • I have always loved Dierberg's Pinots but knew I was living dangerously when I bought this 2002 fairly cheap on Winebid.com. I am happy to report that it is still drinking well in late 2010. The fruit is a little less bright, but it still has a very nice nose and plenty of finesse. Tannins are silky smooth (as you would expect, especially at this age). The finish is not overly long, but it is nicely balanced and is pairing quite well with tilapia. With all fees and shipping costs included, I am in for about $25 on this one and I am plenty happy with it for that price.

  • opened this one way to young. tight as a ducks ass its just now starting to open after four hours. dense and packed with lots of cola, coffee, cranberry fruit. tart with is tingling spicyness on the finish. high acid but other then that the balance is good. if all goes well this should be drinking very well in a few year. Hold.
