  This was a pretty delicious California-style Chardonnay. It definitely has a lot of the oak, buttered popcorn, butterscotch thing going on, but I will say that after a little time in the glass a lot of that blew away and left behind a very elegant mineral floral nose that I was digging. Smooth but not heavy, nice acidity. This is a particularly good Chardonnay if you like the oaked California style.

  Trip to Napa Valley; 1/30/2011-1/31/2011 (Napa, CA): On the nose, apples and lemons. On the palate, citrus fruits, light oak, no butter, a little hot on the finish, slightly bitter finish, light bodied.

  Pale straw color. Nice fruity and floral nose. Creamy and buttery, but with a sharp cut of fresh citrus, leading to a longish finish. Good and balanced.
