Medium to dark ruby. Layers of morello cherry, raspberry, red flowers, nutmeg and cedar in the nose. Medium body with medium+ acidity almost round body and medium ripe tannins that get grippier towards the end. Mostly red fruits and oaky scents in the mouth. Needs some time to incorporate better the oak but ita definitely better than the 08 I tasted a couple of years ago that had a green character with unripe and rather aggressive tannins. 89-90

Drink Greek with Vinography (Souvla Restaurant, SF): Dark garnet in the glass, low lustre. On the nose, warm brett-y menthol with bright raspberry tones. In the mouth it felt a bit young and closed down, with med-high drying tannins, med+ body, med alcohol, good acid balance. The overall impression was one of a blocky, lightly-oaked, solid wine that's a bit closed down. The roast lamb cut the tannins and opened it up nicely.

(WineGate) Ruby color with a deep core. The nose is dominated by violets, plums, blueberries, vanilla, biscuit and nutmeg. In the palate the wine is a bit more harsh than I remember it. The oak is more pronounced as well, the acidity is messing with your gums, the fruit is hidding somewhere in the back, medium concentration with a short to medium aftertaste. What is more likely, to have found another odd bottle or that the wine is entering a rather odd phase ? Help anyone?

Enjoyed this unique wine (by California standards) with stuffed green pepper. I agree with KostasKats' tasting note. Would get again.
