  You have come a long baby (in 6 months). This was our second try. Six months ago it was way too young. Coming a long nicely but won't try again for another six months. Leather, vanilla, cherry cough syrup. Some hot tannins on the back promising more improvement in the cellar. And come on for the novelty of pure Mataro alone it's worth a few bottles.

  Garnet red. Lovely nose of vanilla and red fruits with strong alcohol. Very pleasant wine that reflects the bouquet - vanilla dominates with strawberry the dominant fruit note on a strong alcohol background, stronger even than the 15% ABV would suggest. There is a nice bit of raspberry bitterness on the finish amidst the burn - it really is a bit hot. A bit sweet in a way that matches the overall profile. Touches of coffee and cocoa powder as well. Would have rated higher but for the heat, which messes up the integration quite a bit.

  Red plums mixed with very ripe but darker fruit, this has good balance with moderate tannins and a nice streak of acidity. Lots of character from the fruit and full bodied, this was easy to drink. An interesting wine for a Wednesday night.
