Tasted from 12 Liter bottle at the Silver Oak hospitality party tonight. An amazing glass of wine. No color change at all. Retaining red fruit characteristics while the earthy flavors are coming to the front. Smooth from start to finish. Fine grained tannins and acidity sneak in on the finish. 95 points for the 12 Liter!
Initially quite good. Some wine popped out with the cork (I had not had time to let it rest upright before opening). Nose: dried violets; dark fruits; plums; dark cherries; A bit closed on the finish, but tastes of dark fruits, cherries, hints of mint and eucalyptus; a bit tart and bitter at first, but smooths out a bit, but still not much of a finish, Better than last time. It is good, particularly given the age – but still not bowling me ov
Nice wine, everything working together. Color is garnet red with a light touch of bricking around the rim. Tannins have mellowed and blended in nicely, fruit is starting to fade or so it seemed in this bottle. Won't hold on to this wine for much longer as its best days may be behind it.
