Red fruits and herbs on the palate. Very balanced with good acidity making this a great food wine.

Corkscrew Tasting: The Wines of Azienda Agricola Paitin, with Giovanni Pasquero-Elia (The Princeton Corkscrew Wine Shop, Palmer Square): The regular Barbera d'Alba ($20). In the mouth, some clove/brett (4-EG, 4-EP). Good structure, med body. In the mouth, Brett, good acid. It's ok in structure/balance, but really all I taste is Brett. Sorry Giovanni - check your barrels!
