  • Real nice bouquet, crossover of new and old worlds. Hint s of toffee with some modest vegetal characteristics. Very rhone style syrah. Huge bargain (I paid $12). Finishes with a healthy does of oak.

  • Looks like I’m the first CT user to post on this wine. Was a gift (but I do continue to buy Rosenblum occasionally) that I received and I'm trying to clear big bottle space for Fall incoming--this wine has a low shoulder and huge wide bottom...oh, so sexy. Could not find any TNs on this at all through the BB search so I found the courage to open it without any guidance!?! It's starting to show some browning on the edges, along with mostly a maroon color. Nose reminds me of coffee, some bell pepper (slight) and black pepper, along with some black raspberry. Palate-wise, medium to fill bodied, exhibiting some nice acids and some cracked berry fruit. Surely not in the style of the Saxum, Lewis or Novy from the past week but more in the red fruit, juicy style. Finishes with some espresso/toast and a lingering spice. Nice stuff. Have some 02 of this that I found at the Rosenblum tasting room earlier this year on blowout for, gulp, $14 each. What a steal and so good--they must have lost their mind up there.
