Well, that went down way too quickly and way too easily. A really tasty wine that probably would have had more to say if I was paying a bit closer attention and if the bottle was drained in record time. Nice balance, maybe just a touch of baby fat. Delish.

Lots of peach on the nose. Medium bodied with excellent richness. Fruit is peach in the front, backed by pear. Has a creaminess on the finish where the acidity comes in. Decent length, but not as much acidity as some other spatleses. Has enough structure so that it should improve slightly over the next few years and last around eight. While this was certainly quite good, it didn’t quite have the outstanding complexity or acidity of some of the other spatleses I have tasted.

This just really hit the spot. Rich, some tertiary, clean, balanced acidity. Super refreshing !

Another bottle, and my last, though this one seemed darker in golden color and more syrupy. Perfect with a chicken stir fry.

wine comes from old, established vines on slate laden steep slopes. The wine has a weird sweetness. I'm not feeling the acids here.
