  60 minute decant. Big black and blue fruits dominate this wine, with licorice and plum on the mid-palate and the finish is a bit hot. 89-90

  Dark color - purple/black. The nose is packed with plums, dark cherry, roasted meats, gingerbread, Necco wafer, creamed corn, and a whiff of maple. The palate is packed with plums, dark cherry, black pepper, molasses, and minerals. This medium-bodied wine has an aristocratic spine of acidity and tannin to match he density of its fruit. The finish is dense with a ton of minerals and a tough, tannic facade. Overall, this wine is clearly from a high class vineyard with age, but it is in need of time to tame the tannins and round out the fruit.
