  • Black cherry, red cherry, forest floor, smoke, menthol, and wet earth on the nose. Black and red cherry, plum, spices, earth, tart cherry, licorice, and herbs on the palate. Good acidity (a bit more wouldn't hurt), mostly resolved tannins, medium-long finish. Delicious. This wine feels lifted on the palate with a broad mid-palate and strong finish. Very easy to drink.

  • This was decanted for about 45 minutes before we first tasted. Even the first glass was quite good. There are nice layered flavors of raspberry, earth and cherry. The wine has a light body but has full flavors and enough acid to balance the fruit and keep the wine interesting while not overwhelming it. This went great with salmon but is still quite good on its own.

  • Puzzled by the mixed reviews on CT. Acquired this via Lot 18, I believe, and this is my third bottle. This wine has shown consistently, and is a QPR bell-ringer. You never know about these flash-site wines, so I can't blame myself for not buying more, but still wish I had.
The nose is deft and alluring, with a good dose of spice along with red fruit and sandalwood. With a bit of air, the palate is handsomely fleshed out, with a dark cherry core and a lingering finish. Winner.

  • Aromas of grandmother's perfume and burnt rubber. Muddled whole cluster candied flavors with thin watery mouthfeel. Short finish. Has to be flawed

  • Drank a bottle over several days. On day 1, this was showing poorly. All stems (of the unripe, dirty, green variety) on the nose and muddled earth/spicebox flavors on the palate. Corked and put in the fridge and revisited tonight. A completely different wine now, still a bit stemmy, and I would guess this sees a fair amount of whole cluster. Nice cherry fruit with forest floor, spice and pomegranate notes. Interesting for sure to see how this evolved with extra air time, suggesting this might have some upside. 85 pts on day 1, 89+ on day 2
