Gorgeous wine. Huge nose of lavender, violet, bacon, earth, a hint of funk. Palate is smooth, luxious black blue fruit and tannins are there still. This is why I love Syrah.

Nose: There is a nice and balanced nose with tones of crushed rocks, black cherries, black pepper, blue fruits, and some violets as well.
Taste: Medium/full bodies with good medium acidity and some nice silky tannins. The tones of black cherries, black pepper, spice, abd violets balance well together.
Overall: This is a real fun syrah. While it won't confuse you for a northern Rhone, it does a real nice job of being in that spirit.

A meaty, rich, intense wine loaded with fresh fruit and umami flavors along with a textured mouthfeel. Oak is very far in the background putting the focus firmly on the fruit. 97% Syrah, 3% Viognier. 14.2% alcohol. 396 cases produced.
