Wine Reviews: A Selection of Zinfandels: SRP: $20. The nose is quite interesting – dark plums, wild herbs (think sage and fennel), some black pepper, and a hint of baked blackberries. The palate is plush yet light, with great acidity. Unfortunately, a hint of alcohol shows itself at the finish.

Been open over three hours now and fruit is light, black and blue. There is a cedar aspect on the nose as well. Body is light for Zin, with good balance, a midpalate of predominantly black fruits. There is a moderate approach to the oak treatment and a long earthy finish. Not my favorite style of Zin and very similar to Dashe, but an excellent wine for the money.

Sold plum, black cherry and pepper with good fresh acid backbone. Nice Zin.
