It might sound trite, but this aged beaujolais really did taste much like an older Burgundy. Mushrooms, earth, licorice with an acidity that paired wonderfully with Chateaubriand in bearnaise sauce. In my relatively short wine drinking experience, I can't think of a better QPR than this bottle.
