14.1% alcohol. The best Alysian I've had in a while. None of the funky creosote notes of the past few bottles. This is ripe cherry fruit mingled with minerals and baking spice. In the mouth, sappy cherry fruit with plush texture and good balance. A nice spike of acidity and a smooth finish. Really drinking nicely. A-

fully integrated, raspberry dominant, but secondary flavors starting to fade. Not as good as prior bottle.

Pleasant enough, I suppose, but not what I would expect at this stage of development. It's RRV, but not complexly derived.

Vintage Select Industry Tasting (Vintage Select Warehouse, Houston, TX): Great classic RRV nose with cola, black cherry, pie cherry, bing cherry, brown sugar, clove, anise. On the palate, pie cherry, cranberry, bing cherry, brown sugar, clove, spice. Very nice stuff.

Unfamiliar prior. Gary Farrell. Typical of Sonoma / Russian River. Not as distinctive as Sonoma Coast but same palate.
