(Roederer Cristal) The 1999 Cristal was extra special, extraordinary in its combination of elegance and power. Its flavors were crisp, clean and intense, long and stylish with superb acidity that did not get in the way of the purity and style of the wine. It was integrated despite its extraordinary length. Its aromas of lightly toasted bread, corn and minerals danced around our table aptly with all the young ladies the Champagne seemed to attract. I love it when that happens. We danced the night away, so I was able to skip the morning workout

(Cristal) was stellar, full yet elegant, long yet taut, with sweet fruit yet a dry finish. There was great elegance and length to this thoroughbred of a Champagne

(LOUIS ROEDERER CRISTAL) #1; Pierre Rovani says, "One of the finest Champagnes I have ever brought to my lips, the 1999 Cristal bursts from the glass with fresh hazelnut and apple scents. Elegant, deep, and silky-textured, this medium to full-bodied beauty is immensely concentrated, pure, packed with apple flavors, and astoundingly long in the finish.PR-98

Rockss and Fruit

(Cristal) This was tight, tight, tight. Beautiful fruit and minerality along with great cut on the palate. Not showing that much in the way of finesse right now but it will come with time. Easily the tightest young Cristal I have ever had.
