Opened to celebrate...., but what? cheerfulness, weekend...., perfect to keep the good mood, our local football rival helps a bit, too, so enjoy this likely mature champagne, indicated by the yellowgolden colour in the glass, very often use a big glass to taste champagne, shows a lot more complexity in my honest opinion, breadcrest, almonds, nuts, some dried dry fruit, apricot maybe, very balanced with some aeration, ending long and tasty with still some supporting acid, ***(+)-?, 90, 91(+)

This bottle was awesome. Some of the carbonation and acidity have worn off (it foams on pour, but only a slight sensation of carbonation upon drinking it). Deep yellow color (like a young sauternes) with rich oxidative notes, plus some pear, apples and white flowers. Stellar champagne.
It's possible that this would have been better a year or two ago, but still in great shape.
N.B. the storage conditions for this bottle were just okay, so possible a better-stored bottle held onto more fizz.

Pretty youthful, surprisingly vinous, relatively complex for L-P. In a great place. I liked this a lot.
