Another great deal from Trader Joe's one time buys. Good fruit. Nice smooth mouth-feel. Finish lingers a bit. Nose is excellent. Medium-bodied for a Cabernet and not overwhelming in any way, but very nice for the $ and a balanced, highly drinkable Cabernet.

Hard to complain at $10, but was hoping for more. (The $10 Trader Joe's Tribunal is much better, though sold out from our local store.) Simple, and a bit hot.

This is also by Five Gold Hands. Poured through the vinturi. Beautiful presence of oak on the nose, fruit forward with dark fruits, plum, smooth finish with fine, integrated tannins. I'll buy more for $9.99.

There are a lot of these reserves floating around, so note this is Alexander Valley and produced by Five Gold Hands.
This one doesn't come together as one of the better offerings in TJ's reserve line. Fairly straightforward flavors of red fruit and a little oak. I was about to note the firm tannins as a plus, but then they started to seem bitter, even while the wine simultaneously tastes slightly sweet. Currant shows on the second day.
