  Required a decant. Getting brown on the edges. Still lots of tannin and acidity. More herbal, but fruity. Bay leaf. Russian River funk. Plasticity like opening an album cover. Cola. Mocha. Raspberries in the mid palate.

  Never fully opened up. Even on day 2. Decent nose and mouthfeel. Falls on the funky and slightly disjoint side of things. Expected more but still good

  I really liked this wine. So elegant and smooth. Starts with a bit of pepper spice, but so well balanced and nice aromas and flavors of vanilla and ripe dark fruits.

  Still a lot of fruit. Blackberry. Very dark. Soft tannins. Paired excellently with rogani ghosht (lamb and potato in fragrant yogurt sauce).

  Sonoma County April 28; 5/27/2013-5/28/2013: Solid all the way around- aromas of brambly earthy blueberry and vanilla. Flavors of vanilla bean and white pepper with big ripe blackberry. Silky and ripe tannins and a big finish.
