Served with the perfect pairing of a nice prime NY Steak. A few more years of age since my last bottle has mellowed the oak a little and allowed it to integrate with the big fruit. Still a rather big wine but served appropriately is worked very well.

Day 1 was showing youthful with big fruit and lots of oak predominant. For those liking big wines this was one for them. Day 2 was a little more restrained and integrated. Nice sipping wine but pairing with food still would require some serious protein. I think I've outgrown the need for big wines like this. Certainly wouldn't dump it or turn it away if offered but probably would not buy again.

Very fruity, was hoping it would have settled down by now. Tasted on day two and day three with same results. Not much in the way of secondary notes or further interest. Slightly sour on day three, otherwise not much change. Will try others and hope for better results.

(Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley) A very pretty aroma profile with high toned herbal notes, spice, dark fruit, and bittersweet chocolate. The palate is rich yet refined, far from overpowering with a mixture of concentrated fruit flavors and elegance. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc. Heather Hill, Bacchus, Dionysus, Weinbau; Hedges Estate vineyards. Aged 25 months in French oak (60% new). 14.9% alcohol.

Big wine but still elegant. Lots of oak and fruit. Cassis, blueberry, loads of vanilla, cedar. Grippy tannins. Still drinking on the young side.
