Bought this several years ago from a recommendation from David Coffaro Winery. Visited the winery and met with a Lovely family that owns this property and really liked the wines. Opened this and looking to see if we still like it. While full on alcohol % (which I dislike in general for California wines), I must say that it is tasty. Think it is at its peak, but it had what we love about PS - tannins and fruit - in balance. I did a pairing competition on what works best with a steak dinner on a Monday. I gave the nod to this wine. Delicious, well made and holds on its own or with a big steak.

Vintage Select Industry Tasting (Vintage Select Warehouse, Houston, TX): Improved over the last year. Big sweet tart nose of blackberry jam, black currant, vanilla, spice. On the palate, improved focus with tart black currant, blackberry, cherry, and spice. Still has substantial grip but decent balance. Needs another 3-5 years to totally settle in.

Still a fairly well structured and hefty wine. Nice dark fruits with a bit of spicy and peppery notes

A meaty wine. Strong and dark. This would be great with a nice steak, but it's too much for a pork roast.
