Wines of Burgundy (Farpointe Cellar): Spice and bright cherry on the nose, the wine had an aroma that really pulls you in. It transitioned to dark berries and earth, and a little stone. More earthy on the palate, the cherry and berry flavors helped support the spice and forest flavors. The minerals on the finish were great.
Saturdays at One - Volume 38: Tasted non blind. Opened and decanted about 2 hours before serving. Garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of asphalt, black berries, rose petals and black cherries. Flavors of black cherries, black berries and black raspberries. Bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Hold for about 3-5 years minimum and then drink over the next 5 to 10 years plus or minus a bit. 91-92+/-?
