Lemon custard, lemon chiffon pie, lemon zest, lemon meringe, and uh, lemons. And minerals. Drinking beautifully now.

From .375, slightly past prime. Smooth and balanced, but mostly old oak on palate.
Rene Geoffroy, Huet, Bosquet du Pape Chante Merle, Girard, Saxum (Our Home): Light golden on color. A nose of honey, oranges, a bit of caramel. Great acidity. Leaner than most recent vintages, but not in a bad way. Great complexity. Went great with the soup.
Nice subtle stone fruit behind some terrific lemon zest and minerals. Very well-balanced, drinking well now.
Consumed over 3 days, better at days 2 and 3. Notes reflect day 2.Nose-- lemon mostly, some floral aspects. Palate-- lemon, lemon drops, bracing bracing acidity, minerals. Finish-- mostly lemon and wet stones. Should age well-- 5-10 years more.
