We have not had much dessert wine lately, so this week I decided I would make a more concerted effort to drink through a few. I grabbed this and popped it with some popcorn and Downton Abbey on the DVR. Honey and apricot oozing out of the golden liquid. On the palate, great acidity and a well-balanced amount of sugar. Full yellow color. Pretty nose of ripe peach, a touch of flowers, and minerals. In the mouth, more expressive and complex, with sweet peach, a hint of white pepper, floral, and mineral notes. Brightly acidic, giving terrific focus to the wine, and a long, sweet finish. This is a terrific accompaniment to fruit desserts. A-
