Good energy and vibrancy here. Black fruit, fancy oak, and bottle age over notes of grape Jolly Ranchers and conifer. Juicy, plummy, and fully integrated, this gains richness and body with air. Fine-grained tannin on the finish. Drink up.

Shared with pat at Selkirk manor to celebrate the end of the work week. I must acknowledge that this producer seems to have are better wine in the past. We particularly enjoyed wines from the late 1990's through early 2000's. Don't really know what accounts for the change. Still, I have to say that I enjoyed this bottle more than is reflected in notes from others. No off putting characteristics. Nice Bordeaux style. Just doesn't,t have wow factor. Glad I paid less than $30. Don't think I would fork over current retail price for this wine.

This was our last bottle of this wine, and it was not nearly as lively as it had been in the past. The fruit has faded/mellowed as expected, but not been replaced by as much depth as I would have hoped. Not in a great place right now, and a little unclear where it is headed. Not a wine I would hold for very long.
