Very good wine that grew on me over the course of the bottle. Initially outclassed by the Fevre Peruses next to it, though eventually representing its style as well as the Fevre did with the Chablis. Very dark gold in color, nose of pear, hazelnut and what seemed to be some burnt oak. Full bodied on the palate, almost oily, with lots of buttered popcorn, lemon cream and spice hints.
An excellent bottle, showing a deep rich gold color with a nice nose of lemon cream and spice. Fairly viscous but the acidity balances it out. Great lemon citrus flavors with minerals and oak, just a wonderfully balanced bottle of Chardonnay.
