  • This was the last of 3 bottles of this wine. This one had a loose cork with noticeable madeirization, pouring brown in the glass. The aroma, however, was citrus peel and ripe apples, with toffee notes from the oxidation. On the palate, apple and stone fruits with just enough acidity to give it some grip. Despite the bad cork, this wine still shows well after 29 years.
