  Ripe, soft, plummy, maybe a bit overripe as this approaches the end of its drinkability. Vaguely herbal and minty, enjoyable.

  2008. Rose petal, cherry, and dirt dominate the nose. Just lovely. Medium bodied, dark cherry, earth, and some barrel notes coat the mouth. Lengthy finish. The best showing from all my cellared Vidons.

  Decanted 2 hours and consumed over 8 hours; ’07 & ’08 vertical. Need to decant this baby for a while. Had a slow start out of the gate; drinking light and floral like the ’07. But between hours 4 – 8 this really put on some weight and some crazy-good terroir complexity. Very similar to the “funk” of Cameron, Abbey Ridge or Electrique. Likely will be drinking at this peak through 2018. 94 pts
