A lighter ruby colour than other pinots I have tried lately. I found it fruity and intense and probably a good wine to start drinking now. I noticed a spicy and licorice nose as well as hints of cherry, and then definitely a bit more cherry, orange peel?, and smokiness/tobacco on tasting. Overall I think this was a well-balanced wine, and finished off with a warmth that lingered after.
Light to medium bodied. Nice strawberry / red cherry fruit flavours with a slight hint of earth. Decent acidity. Perhaps a bit unidimensional in its flavour profile, but a nice pleasant wine. 13% alcohol. A bit pricey at $30 (in BC).
