Crimson in color. 14.3% ABV. Great nose of clove, red fruits, mushrooms and earth. Medium body and more acidity than I am accustomed to from Sojourn. Rich and spicy. Black cherry, strawberry, cranberry and mineral on the palate. Exceptional finish. The best Sojoun Pinot Noir in recent memory. Drink over the next 3-5 years.
A little age is always a good thing. Brought this to a WineBerserker offline at Jay Hacks. Smooth, elegant, and a taste of cherries. I always know a wine is good by how much, if any, is left over. This bottle was bone dry! Thanks Craig.
Dense color, dark red. Whiff of alcohol on the nose, with tons of fruits. Dense palate, lots of fruits again, very extracted. Alcohol on the long finish. Good food wine but a little too big for my taste.
Jan's Birthday of "No Particular Significance" (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Dark red color. PNP and aerated into glasses. Nose has big ripe fruits, cherry, raspberry, strawberry, briary. The palate is velvety with nice round tannins, ripe berry and cherry fruit, spicy, briar. Medium plus finish and well balanced. This is all about the fruit, but it adds in some nice spiciness and underbrush character. 92+ to 93pts.
