Lovely nose of cappuccino, violets and Asian spices. Doesn't quite pack the same punch on the palate - nice tart cranberry and blueberry fruit with good acidity, but lacking a little depth of texture and flavor.

Reddish-purple. Nose of red and purple fruits, spice and a faint green herbal element.
Flavors follow the nose. I recognized that this was a blend, but did not know the seven elements of the blend (four Cab Sauvs, two Cab Francs and one Merlot). I would have sworn that there was a heavy dose of Zinfandel because I get a similar flavor profile that a Paraduxx Zin blend I recently had that was twice the price' but the Cab Sauv and Cab Franc are noticeable (did not pick up on the Merlot) and the blend has a seamless complexity. No harsh edges whatsoever, the 30 months it spent in French oak seem to have left a wine that is smooth but not oaky whatsoever. I dig the lower alcohol (13.5%). Medium acid and tannins are completely resolved. Although this is not my preferred style of wine, I found this to be very tasty. Drink now - 2016.

Blueberry and other dark fruit on the nose. Cherry and blueberry on the palate, I do wood working and this reminded me of the experience of working with cherry wood as there was some earthy wood notes as well. Some vanilla present as well. Low tannins.
