Drank over several hours without decant. Straw yellow. Unlike the bottle 18 months ago, there is no oxidation this time whatsoever. While this is not as flashy as some of the white Burgundies I have had recently, this has a fine texture and a great balance of fruit and acidity. One of the rare whites, where despite a fair bit of sweet, almost exotic fruit, the wine does not taste flabby or flat due to its great acidity. Very good length too. Excellent. 92-93
this wine was showing age, it had decent acidity and wasn't flabby or sherried but the palate showed plenty of smoke and caramel (which isn't my or my wife's thing)… for my tastes this might have been an 88 but i gave the higher points cuz some like age and this wine had enough acid and tension and minerals to warrant enjoyment for those who like age on their whites
Opened about 3h before dinner (did not dare to decant as some notes below were suggesting) and took a sip every once in a while. Straw yellow. Slight oxidized note during the first 90 min or so after opening, later the note largely disappears behind the beautiful fruit. Takes a good 2-3h in the open bottle to show its best. A very finely textured palate with pineapple, abricott, some sulphur, initially also nuts, later more dominated by sweet, but well delineated fruit notes. Good acidity and moderate alc (13%) keeps it fresh. Long finish. Excellent.
