– tasted a single glass non-blind over 5 minutes –
Somewhat simple on the Nose, with a strong citrus tone (orange oil) backed-up with a light scent of rose petals. Palate is also simple, showing red berries and oak. Tannins are soft. The 15.9% alc. is carried very well here, as it does not show through at all.

Not decanted, consumed ~1 hour after pouring out. Purchased at the winery, brought home, and promptly opened to share with my wife (who had not gotten to taste this yet). Her takeaway quote: "This tastes like grown-up zin." My take is below...
Dark, brambly zinfandel, with woody overtones and in-check red fruity ripeness that reminded me of strawberry liqueur or syrup. 15.9% alcohol comes through more than I'd like, but this was just bottled a month ago, so it may benefit from time to settle. Nice, aside from the unfortunate booziness. Reserving judgment for now.
UPDATE after four days on the counter: This wine has lost very little - the dark, weighty character still remains, although the fruit now reminds me more of something like a raspberry or black cherry reduction sauce. The alcohol is less evident, as well. I still think it needs time in bottle.
