Popped and poured. Mainly consumed by dinner guests, and I was left with little time (and wine) to take proper notes. Seemed nice enough though – generous fruit, refreshing minerality and food friendly acidity. Served with pork ribs and homemade sausages.

This is lean and dry enough that it might have qualified as austere except for the fact that the fruit is intensely bright and vivacious. I tend to find Alsatian riesling a little drab compared to the Germans and Austrians but that's not the case here. It's tensile, bone-dry, and has a bit of that buzzing energy that adds some life to the texture.

(at Eleven Madison Park – NYC) Still tight, but showing good richness, a mild honey character on the finish and persistent flavors. Good, but not a great bottle from Mann. (88+)

This was okay but not worth the $42 that I paid.
