  • Called in to pinch-hit for a Savoie for a raclette dinner. Nose of light stone fruits, cold rocks, and dry grass, but all quite subdued. Light on the palate with a dry, short finish. Quite acceptable with large quantities of cheese, meat and cornichons, but I'm not sure that I would otherwise call upon this wine.

  • not a lot to this one... not bad for a weeknight sipper, but certainly not memorable.

  • Green fruits, honey, touch of damp straw.
Nice weight & texture, well balanced apple, grassey but soft fruit, touch peppery with staying power, quite classic, like it

  • Golden straw color, starbright w green highlights, low viscosity. Aromas of slate, cantaloupe, green apple. On the palate, green apple, melon, and subtle pear fruit, granite, and bracing acidity, surprisingly fleshy texture, no residual sweetness at all -- completely dry. This is the opposite of fruit forward (fruit backward?) -- leading with its acid and crisp minerality, but much more generous in mouthfeel and texture than you might guess from the flavor profile and viscosity. Would be refreshing served cool with a picnic on a summer's day.

  • Very solid Alsatian Pinot Blanc. Very, very light nose - what little there is consists of a chalky minerality. Mouth starts off mildly citrus and moves to a balanced apple, peach and mineral profile and finishes soft, dry and long. There are better Alsatians but this bottle is usually very good for the price. Works well with white fishes and pork dishes with mild sauces.
