  More complex than last night’s 2008 Solomon Hills Pinot but less overtly pretty and subsequently less pleasurable to drink. I suspect that this bottling, unlike last night’s SH, would have gotten better with time but alas, at 10 years old, this is our last bottle.

  Ebbs and flows (taste, nose, etc) quite a bit after opening. Still seems quite primary (young) and fruity. I wonder if it's gotten much better since it was produced, but it certainly hasn't suffered, as it's delightful.

  Black pepper, smoke and a hint of bacon fat....a lot of fruit...medium + finish...was much better after an hour....really nice stuff for a US Syrah
