At winery - Classic Barbera in every way - a touch of oak on the nose and on the palate but very elegant. Great balsamic notes and potpourri flavors and aromas. The acid spike quite a bit for me and I enjoy high acid wines so it seemed a touch out of balance. Beautiful nonetheless.

This was nice, though seems a little too straight forward for me, and lacking in complexity. with that said, it is a really great tasty food wine, that totally combined with salami and aged pecorino in the best possible way. I liked it, even though I prefer the 2005 Claudio Mariotto Barbera Colli Tortonesi Poggio del Rosso I had a while ago.
