  • Medicinal nose, earthy with green notes. Tannins still notable on the palate but supported with sweet fruit and long finish.

  • A year and a half ago KENK said: "Dusty musty with sour cherry aromas A dirt driven nose. A fairly straight forward Burgundy, that is reasonably pleasant, yet not terribly distinctive. A bit hard and disjointed with good grip and dry stewy red fruits. A tad austere with some nice spices. Reasonable length and quite drinkable, yet nothing profound." Excellent description; not much has changed. But I can add that we decanted the wine before dinner--an hour was intended but two passed before we finally sat down, so we actually drank it over the third hour. It was noticeably diminished by the end of the last glass. Time to finish these, I think.

  • Second bottle in a month at a restaurant.Just delightful. Soft, perfumed berries--brighter than usual--on the nose, a long, medium boded, medium complexity palate led by mixed dark red berries, black berries and bit of smoke. Not a massive CdeV, just so elegant and wonderful to drink.

  • When it is right, there is little better than a red burgundy at its peak. Warm, velvlety, full masculine charadter followed by very dark fruit--moslty black cherry-- wrapped in just enough smoke and very earthy but sophisiticated robe. Medium bodied. Not the complexity of a great Romanee of course but pure pleasure. At a restauraunt.
