14.2% alcohol. Light black cherry color. Quite porty nose of brown sugar and stewed cherry. In the mouth, this is much more fresh than on the nose. Still showing some good red cherry fruit and spice. This is showing the heat of the vintage at this point. It was tasty on the palate but lacking the complexity, depth, and longevity of better vintages. B+
14.2% alcohol. not decanted, followed in the glass for 3 1/2 hours. a half hour of air helped it to open up. deep black cherry and sage. nice mouthfeel and texture. should maintain this drinking plateau for some time. well balanced. drink now- 2015. recommended. 92+
Really drinking nicely now with a soft, elegant texture and lovely, fairly complex cherry flavors. This is how aged Russian River Pinot should drink; balanced and restrained with precocious cherry fruit and a slight hint of minerals. Well done.
