  From magnum, wine really started to sing about 45 minutes after opening. Beautiful dark cherries, spice and rose pedals starting to show. Amazing length of quality of life for this wine. So sad that this was the last vintage of the vineyard that produced it. Delicious!

Ultimately we had a glass and corked it up as too monster and lacking acidity. We the finished a youngish 2012 Sonoma coast from another favorite producer, and came back to this later in the evening. Still hot, yet cold from refrigerator. Still a bomber the next day, but holding up well all things considered.

  Txrhoneranger and Jdrfoster said it all. Full-throttle Pinot that was even better on day 2. One bottle left - will drink up as this can't get any better.

  Rich and ripe with gobs of red fruit exotic spice, cola. Creamy glycerin mouth feel. Well balanced if a touch hot. Cheers!
