The benefit OR the problem with this wine: Mendoza origin BUT a blend of 75% TEMPRANILLO & 25% Malbec... aged in 80% French oak barrels PLUS 20% AMERICAN ... just seemed to result in an artificial taste of old-world in a new-world way... after 13 years: well made blend of fruit and wood, chemical scent in some drafts, but still my taste... a good wine with a matter if taste it is

Decanted 2 hours before dinner. 75% Tempranillo and 25% Malbec. Aged 20 months in new oak. 14.5% alcohol. Paired this with braised Bison short ribs which Anwar made. Deep purple color. Very aromatic with sweet red fruits. Notes of licorice, prune and dark chocolate. Moderate tannins. Full bodied. I liked this better than the 2002 vintage that I had in 2007. 93 points.
