I've likely consumed a case of this over the years - was my go-to house wine until i couldn't get any more. Always a fantastic treat - Dave Phinney winemaker during 2003 vintage. Opens with Bordeaux funkiness and evolves into a delectable treat of big rich dark fruit (cherry and boysenberry), BBQ elements and nice chalky/loamy 40+ second finish (2 hour decant). As usual, absolutely outstanding house "feasting/table wine" for evening enjoyment drinking. Good balance and excellent tannin structure. I've consumed every vintage of this wine ever made and continue to believe 2003 is the best given big drying tannin structure, balance and size of fruit/palate weight. could hold this wine another few years easily but drinking great now.
