Friday Night Double Blind Tasting $40+ (Bin 75): Midnight black core with tiny reddish violet rim; fainter nose, draws you in just like the light in the room, dark chocolate, slight jam of dark fruit, tobacco- chewing, dense and brooding, slight menthol, smoke; bigger on the palate, full, dense, sweet dark fruit, prune, sweet initially then the density kicks in, tannins are really reasonable, raspberry, glycerin, good delineation, well aged though still young; called '05 Rattlesnake Ridge Petite Sirah.
Early maturity, Rich black fruits and licorice on the nose. Excellent structure but softening, Beautful black bruits along with good minerality and some licorice. Very nice texture, tannins have softened, nice finish. 92 points
