Hasn't changed much since 2013. Still has nice dark cherry color, clear with strong legs for a red table wine. Cherry and plum notes. Smooth with a slight bite on the front that goes away. Even finish. Very nice.
Color: Black Plum Skin, Brick Nose: Leather, Oak, Cherry Palate: Soy, Mushroom, Cherry Score: 84 Overall: Grabbed this Minervois (2008) off the shelf today...one of my purchases from back in the Laithwaites 4 Seasons Wine Club days. The color of this wine in the glass is a nice black plum skin, with some brick tones at the edges. Been in the cellar 2.5 years. On the nose I'm getting some leather, a bit of oak, and some cherry notes. Not a lot of fruit on the nose. Onto the palate, and interesting...getting some soy, mushroom, and a bit of the cherry fruit, with a bit of sweetness on the finish. Overall, though, the fruit is more muted now (perhaps in the cellar too long), but still decent wine. Texture is very smooth, with mild tannins. I like it, but only have the one bottle. I'll give it an 84.
