The wife opened from .375 with Indian food tonite. Bold yellow/gold in color. Nose of beeswax and honey, nectarines and peaches. Quite viscous, full-bodied. Peaches, apricots on the palate, along with tons of honey. Good acidity level cuts thru the ripe, plump white fruit. There's lots of pineapple and even mango on the long, fruity finish. Enjoyable

From 375ml. AP#20-03. The nose is almost all pink grapefruit which then disappears until it makes another appearance on the back palate along with lychees. Very tropical palate loaded with papaya, mango, pineapple ,honey and lemon. The honey and pink grapefruit dominate the long finish. Thick but just enough acidity to stay away from cloying. Drinking beautifully today, possibly at its apogee, but with several more years of great drinking ahead. 50+13+13.5+8.5+8.5=93.5

AP #20-03. Medium yellow in color, this medium bodied wine with crisp acidity seems very youthful with grapefruit and tropical flavors and plenty of ripeness. Seems to be closing down and not giving all it could. 50+11+11+7+7 = 86+

AP #20-03. Exuberant nose just jumps out of the glass. Lots of peaches, nectarines, grapefruit and tropical notes. Sweet but not cloying. Extremely long finish. Glad to see Herr Schwartz is doing such high quality work in his retirement and also glad we bought several bottles of this beauty.

(Wegemuller Haardter Mandelring Schuerebe Auslese) You see this wine would have been brilliant if there was some acidity. But there was none. I looked and could not find it. Glorious nose of pure pineapple, sage. Just singing. Flabby palate with nice silky fruit and great varietal character but just nothing to prop it up. What a shame as this could have been fantastic. Some people said it had closed down as I was sipping it. Who knows?
