Decent but with grapes from an amazing vineyard, this didn't deliver commensurate drinking pleasure. The oak described by others has faded, but so too the complexity. Apples and sweet lemon fruits and good acidity impress, but no length or depth. Does offer a nice nose and some pleasing bite on finish but not anywhere close to Dominique Lafon's white burgs.

The nose on this wine is a 93; unfortunately the palate is marred by a metallic finish that never improved over 3 days. This wine is wound up pretty tight; I'll let the others sit for at least 2 years...

Toasted oak shows on the nose, but not in a buttery way. Some complex aromas surprise me, and they remind me of ham, crisp red apples, and a bit of cigarette smoke. Those seem like weird things to say, and I'm not 100% on them as descriptors, so I think that something could be more accurate. It is complex either way. Juicy apples and limes hit on the palate along with a touch of butter. The oak is balanced though and the wine has a clean touch to it. There's a feeling of brightness on the back end as well.
