For me another manifestation of the 2009 Cru Beaujolais conundrum. Still full coloured and youthful. I'd continue to wait if you can find any. More to come.....

Beaujolais cru tasting (Oinoscent): The color is clear but slightly darker ruby. The nose is clean, med/med+ intensity, it needs time to open up, it shows a dense fruity character, cinnamon and nutmeg spicy note, sadly it also has an off-flavor of plastic and stale ham. The wine is dry, medium body and intensity, medium acidity and alcohol, medium tannins, red cherry and strawberry, cinnamon, lacks complexity when compared to Morgon, med-/med finish. Very good quality, premium price, drinking now can hold.
I had some real troubles about this as a fan of Moulin-a-Vent in general. The wine showed a Bret infection but not to the extent of it being called a flawed one. So should it be rated or not? Well the rest were, so why not this one? It seems like a very good wine though for anyone who can get their hands on it.

De mémoire, un vin d'une grande richesse, sur les fruits noirs et les épices, avec une touche florale. Un peu rustique mais bien équilibré.
