I really liked this wine a lot more than the other reviews here; they are all from 2011, though, so maybe it just needed to cellar for a few more years.
The nose on this is simply amazing. Lots of aromas coming off it. Rich, bright, strawberry jam that clears way for some salt water taffy, to some mellow earthy tones, plus olive oil and mushrooms.
Get a lot of dark fruits/berries, candied apple, with some old world spice, and a milk chocolate finish.

Quite tart at this stage, decant 30-60 minutes. Bouquet of new world fruit and some barrel, but very youthful. Hint of Syrah or Grenache spice on finish. I say wait at least one more year for flavors to develop fully. Reminded me of new release Walla Walla Vintners Sangio for some reason.

If you're in to concentrated new world fruit forward wines with plenty of oak and vanilla you probably aren't going to like this wine. It is a bit of a contrarian among WA wine and has what I would consider a progressive old-world style. With that said, I found it quite delicious and a reasonable deal.
Nose of smoke, tar, wet leaves, and red berries. The palette is balanced if not fruit acid driven which is strange because I usually associate this characteristic with Oregon Pinot (think grapefruit in the later case). It goes well with some foods and cheese. Red currant, cranberries, mellow tannins, smokiness, and a medium finish.
