  • Drank from magnum. Chocolate, earth, herbs and spices. Soft tannin and pleasant acidity. Fully mature and really nice to drink now.

  • Light in color, no brightness around the edges, but not yet brick. After reading the Spectator review of the 98, I was ready to throw this one out. So, I opened it. Wow! Not much fresh fruit, some dusky soil, dried candy evident, incredible balance and sweetness to the mid palate and a nice long finish. Fabulous black licorice on the finish. Very well balanced and beautifully aged with just a slight bit of acidity. I imagined a fall day on the Spanish plateau. Could even serve as an apertif.
